Description
The liver is not enlarged; it shows a coarsely nodular cirrhosis with multiple tumour nodules
measuring up to some 10.0 cm. across.
History
This woman presented at the age of 65 with dysproteinaemia. A liver biopsy showed
chronic active hepatitis with an early cirrhosis. Seven years later she was admitted with
haematemesis from bleeding oesophagael varices. Four years later she was found unconscious, at
home, and died shortly afterwards.
